Kim recently told me that she met someone who was pushing to have QR codes replace headshot photos on business cards for their company. Ack!!! Even if I wasn't a photographer, I don't think I could go for that.
Its all about the relationship.
When I first saw a sample card my reaction was, "my, you're looking a bit pixelated these days..." Kim's reaction was "I think she looked better before the facelift."

Actually, I think that a QR code on a business card is a good thing - as an additional feature, not instead of the picture.
ReplyDeleteI do have one my card, and it has become a great conversation starter, and buzz generator on it's own right.
Now, to make it effective, I also paired with a custom landing page and a way of highlighting them in Google Analytics.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the size of the code on the front of your card? I've seen it suggested a minimum size of 33x33mm for best scanner readability, especially with phone cameras. But that may be for older phones.
It's 5/8" or 16mm. It scans fine on my iPhone, but haven't done extensive testing.
